Privacy policy

 

This Privacy Policy describes how your personal information is collected, used, and shared when you visit and/or make a purchase from mixsoon.us (the “Site”).  The Site is owned by Jeong Seoul. (“the Company” or “we”).

 

The basic terms of this policy cover all of the Site’s consumer facing operations in the United States, Canada, the United Kingdom and European Union.

 

  1. Personal information we collect

When you visit the Site, we automatically collect certain information about your device, including information about your web browser, IP address, time zone, and some of the cookies that are installed on your device. Additionally, as you browse the Site, we collect information about the individual web pages or products that you view, what websites or search terms referred you to the Site, and information about how you interact with the Site. We refer to this automatically-collected information as “Device Information”.

 

This policy applies to information we collect:

  •     On this Website/Site.

  •     In email, text, and other electronic messages between you and this Site.

  •     When you interact with our advertising and applications on third-party websites and services, if those applications or advertising include links to this policy.

 

We collect Device Information using the following technologies:

- “Cookies” are data files that are placed on your device or computer and often include an anonymous unique identifier. For more information about cookies, and how to disable cookies, visit http://www.allaboutcookies.org.  - “Log files” track actions occurring on the Site, and collect data including your IP address, browser type, Internet service provider, referring/exit pages, and date/time stamps.

- “Web beacons”, “tags”, and “pixels” are electronic files used to record information about how you browse the Site.

 

Additionally, when you make a purchase or attempt to make a purchase through the Site, we collect certain information from you, including your name, billing address, shipping address, payment information (including credit card numbers, email address, and phone number). We refer to this information as “Order Information”.

 

When we refer to “Personal Information” in this Privacy Policy, we are talking both about Device Information and Order Information.

 

Children Under the Age of 16

Our Site is not intended for children under 16 years of age. No one under age 16 may provide any personal information to or on the Site. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 16. If you are under 16, do not use or provide any information on this Site or through any of its features, register on the Site, make any purchases through the Site, use any of the interactive or public comment features of this Site, or provide any information about yourself to us, including your name, address, telephone number, email address, or any screen name or user name you may use. If we learn we have collected or received personal information from a child under 16 without verification of parental consent, we may delete that information without your consent.

  1. How do we use your Personal Information?

We use the Order Information that we collect generally to fulfill any orders placed through the Site (including processing your payment information, arranging for shipping, and providing you with invoices and/or order confirmations). Additionally, we use this Order Information to:

- Communicate with you;

- Screen our orders for potential risk or fraud; and

- When in line with the preferences you have shared with us, provide you with information or advertising relating to our products or services.

 

We use the Device Information that we collect to help us screen for potential risk and fraud (an an example, your IP address and device information), and more generally to improve and optimize our Site (for example, by generating analytics about how our customers browse and interact with the Site, and to assess the success of our marketing and advertising campaigns).

 

  1. Behavioral advertising

As described above, when in line with the preferences you have shared with us, we use your Personal Information to provide you with targeted advertisements or marketing communications we believe may be of interest to you.   1. Do not track

Please note that we do not alter our Site’s data collection and use practices when we see a Do Not Track signal from your browser.  California residents have additional rights.

 

California Do Not Track Disclosure

Do Not Track is a privacy preference that users can set in their web browsers. When a user turns on the Do Not Track signal, the browser sends a message to websites requesting them not to track the user.   1. Data retention

When you place an order through the Site, we will maintain your Order Information for our records unless and until you ask us to delete this information.  We secure and store your Order Information using commercially reasonable tools and methods.  

  1. Changes

We may update this privacy policy from time to time in order to reflect, for example, changes to our practices or for other operational, legal or regulatory reasons.

 

  1. Your rights

 

You can review and change your personal information by logging into the Site and visiting your account profile page.  We may not be able to delete your personal information except by also deleting your user account.  We may not accommodate a request to change information if we believe the change would violate any law or legal requirement or cause the information to be incorrect.  If you delete your information or registration from the Site, copies of your profile or transaction history may remain viewable in cached and archived pages, or might have been copied or stored by other Site users.  The access and use of information provided on the Site, including usage of the personal information may also be governed by our Terms of Service.

European Residents

If you are a European resident, you have the right to access personal information we hold about you and to ask that your personal information be corrected, updated, or deleted. If you would like to exercise this right, please contact us through the contact information below.

 

Additionally, if you are a European resident we note that we are processing your information in order to fulfill contracts we might have with you (for example if you make an order through the Site), or otherwise to pursue our legitimate business interests listed above. Additionally, please note that your information will be transferred outside of Europe, including to Canada and the United States.

  1. California Consumers’ Rights and Choices

 

Shine the Light

California Civil Code Section 1798.83 permits customers of Jeong Seoul, who are California residents, to request certain information regarding and/or opt-out of our disclosure of personal information to third parties for their direct marketing purposes.

California Consumer Privacy Act
Unless the California Consumer Privacy Act sees your case as an exception, you have the right to view the categories of personal information that we collect and have access to, as well as request the correction or deletion of your information by submitting a request to us

 

California Minor Content Removal If you are a resident of California, under 18 and a registered user of our services, you may ask us to remove content or information that you have posted to these services by contacting us. Please note that your request does not ensure complete or comprehensive removal of the content or information, as, for example, some of your content may have been reposted by another user.

 

*Under certain legal circumstances, your request to have your personal information entirely removed from our system may not be fulfilled.

 

We will inform you of the verification steps and approximate period of time it may take to process your request to know or to delete and will proceed to do so upon verification of your identity. We may require you to provide us with additional personal information needed to verify your identity.  We will respond to your request to delete your information within 45 days, but no more than within 90 days. 

 

Disclosure of Your Information

We may disclose aggregated information about our users, and information that does not identify any individual, without restriction.   We may disclose personal information that we collect or you provide as described in this privacy policy:

  •     To our parent, subsidiaries, affiliates, and their respective shareholders, principals, directors, officers, employees, and agents.

  •     To contractors, service providers, vendors, and other third parties we use to support our business and who are bound by contractual obligations to keep personal information confidential and use it only for the purposes for which we disclose it to them.

  •     To a buyer or other successor in the event of a merger, divestiture, restructuring, reorganization, dissolution, or other sale or transfer of some or all of our assets, whether as a going concern or as part of bankruptcy, liquidation, or similar proceeding, in which personal information held by us about our Site users is among the assets transferred.

  •     To third parties to market their products or services to you if you have not opted out of these disclosures.  We may contractually require these third parties to keep personal information confidential and use it only for the purposes for which we disclose it to them.  

  •     To fulfill the purpose for which you provide it. For example, if you give us an email address to use the "email a friend" feature of our Site, we will transmit the contents of that email and your email address to the recipients.

  •     For any other purpose disclosed by us when you provide the information.

  •     With your consent.

 

We may also disclose your personal information:

  •     To comply with any court order, law, or legal process, including to respond to any government or regulatory request.

  •     To enforce or apply our terms of use Terms of Service, Shipping Policy, Refund Policy, and any other polices and procedures, or agreements, including for billing and collection purposes.

  •     If we believe disclosure is necessary or appropriate to protect the rights, property, or safety of our Company or its parents, subsidiary, affiliates as well as our customers or others.  This includes exchanging information with other companies and organizations for the purposes of fraud protection and credit risk reduction.

 

Regardless of whether we can or cannot honor your request, we will respond to your request in a manner in which the contents of our response will not disclose any personal information that may put you at risk of identity theft or fraud and other identify theft related issues .

 

You may not submit a request on behalf of another Jeong Seoul customer.

 

Your rights under the California Consumer Privacy Act are as follows:

  1. The right to knowledge, access, and deletion of personal information

-       Knowledge: You may be entitled to receive information regarding the categories of personal information we collected, the sources from which we collected personal information, the purposes for which we collected and shared personal information, the categories of personal information that we sold and the categories of third parties to whom the personal information was sold, and the categories of personal information that we disclosed for business purposes in the 12 months preceding your request.

-       Access: You may be entitled to receive specific pieces of your personal information we have collected in the 12 months preceding your request.

-       Deletion: You may be entitled to request the deletion of personal information that we have collected from you. We will follow up with reasonable efforts to honor your request, in compliance with applicable laws. Please note that we may need to keep such information, such as for our legitimate business purposes or as required to comply with applicable law.

 

  1. The right to data portability

You may be entitled to receive an electronic copy of your personal information.

 

  1. The right to opt out of the sale or sharing of personal information

You may be entitled to prohibit us from selling, renting, or leasing your personal information, as that term is defined under the California Consumer Privacy Act, to third parties for monetary or other valuable consideration.  To specificy your opt-out preferences, visit Do Not Sell My Personal Information.  We do not sell the personal information of consumers we actually know are less than 16 years old, unless we receive affirmative authorization (the "right to opt-in") from either the consumer who is between 13 and 15 years old, or the parent or guardian of a consumer less than 16 years old. Consumers who opt-in to personal information sales may opt-out of future sales at any time. Please keep in mind that these opt-out tools are limited to the device and web browser you are using because they work off your device ID or browser ID. If you use another device or browser, you will need to opt-out on each device and browser. If you block or clear cookies from your browser, it may remove the opt-out settings, requiring you to opt-out again.

 

Note that Jeong Seoul has not sold any personal information of customers in the 12 months prior to the effective date of this Privacy Policy.

 

 

  1. The right to not be discriminated in response to privacy rights requests

We will not deny, charge different prices for, or provide a different level or quality of goods or services, if you choose to exercise these rights. We will not unlawfully discriminate against you for exercising your rights under the California Consumer Privacy Act.

Do Not Sell My Personal Information

  1. Your Choices to Opt Out of the Sale of Personal Information

At Jeong Seoul, we are committed to providing you with transparency when it comes to the security of your personal information. The California Consumer Privacy Act (hereinafter referred to as ‘CCPA’) gives California residents the right to opt out of certain data sharing practices that could constitute a “sale” under the respective law.

 

We highly recommend that you read through this document on CCPA to ensure that you are fully informed of your rights and choices under the state law.

When submitting, please provide your first name, last name, and email address. You will then receive a verification email to check additional information such as an address, state, zip code, phone number, and possibly information about your purchase with us. We will use the information provided to match the identifying information we have to verify your identity before processing the request.

 

Upon successful completion of the form, we will send a confirmation email to the email address that you provide.  For Jeong Seoul to process your request, you will need to respond to our confirmation email.

We and third-party analytics tools and services (hereinafter referred to as ‘third parties') may use personalization technologies to analyze Site & Application performance and your usage patterns to optimize user experience and deliver products and services targeted to your interests.
